Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring to support the kitchen’s daily operations
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling salads, garnishes, and side dishes in line with menu specifications
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety standards at all times
- Support cooking activities by following recipes accurately and ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed
- Help with portioning and plating dishes to ensure consistency and presentation quality
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to keep the kitchen running smoothly during service hours
- Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and efficient workflow
Requirements
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable
- Familiarity with menu planning, food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling practices
- Hands-on experience in restaurant or kitchen environments demonstrating strong knife skills and meal preparation abilities
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation procedures
- Experience in catering or food service industries is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with excellent communication abilities to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff
