The Job: We are looking for a friendly, knowledgeable, and design-savvy Kitchen, Bath & Lighting Design & Sales Consultant to join our showroom team. In this role, you’ll provide exceptional service to customers by helping them choose the right fixtures and finishes for their home or project. You'll also design and specify cabinetry for kitchens and other spaces using 2020 Design software. You’ll work in a collaborative, supportive environment where your creativity and attention to detail can shine.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and engage customers in our showroom with a warm, consultative approach.
- Listen to client needs and offer personalized product recommendations for kitchen, bath, and lighting.
- Educate customers on product features, finishes, design trends, and functionality.
- Prepare accurate quotes, proposals, and follow through on orders and timelines.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Stay current on product knowledge, design trends, and technical details.
- Maintain the appearance and functionality of showroom displays and sample areas.
- Use company systems to manage customer information, track sales activity, and process transactions.
- Build lasting relationships with customers by providing exceptional service before, during, and after the sale.
Desired Qualifications:
- Strong Attention to Detail: You will be required to work with project budgets and sales pricing structures, as well as space planning and design specifications. You will actively guide and keep track of multiple projects at once.
- Great Communication Skills: You will collaborate with contractors and homeowners, along with manufacturer representatives and other Holt Supply departments. Must be comfortable with making phone calls, writing emails, meeting virtually (on-camera!), and communicating in-person.
- Sales Skills: You will promote luxury products and value-adding upgrades to homeowners by educating them on features and benefits. You will proactively call potential and current trade customers to establish and maintain professional relationships.
- Team Player: You will work positively and productively with other employees to make sure our customers get the best service possible. This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining a clean and organized showroom environment, answering phones, assisting at the contractor counter, and assisting walk-in showroom customers.
- Commitment to Learning: You will work to become a product expert through ongoing training via multiple channels. You will learn about plumbing, lighting, cabinetry and other products. While some of this learning will happen during group sessions, much of it is self-paced. You will also need to stay on top of industry trends and work on sales skills.
- Computer Proficiency: You will work with our industry-specific software (training provided), 2020 Design, and some Microsoft Office programs
