Tower Technician - Renewables
Zephyr Towers, LLC is hiring Renewables Technicians to repair, build, and inspect Met Stations and MET Sensors on Wind and Solar Farms across the Midwest. These towers range in height from 6' to 350'.
Responsibilities
- Repair, Inspect and Perform Maintenance on MET Stations across the US. (6'-350')
- Utilize a company laptop to complete reports on Microsoft Word and Excel, connect to Ethernet Switches, dataloggers and sensors via serial cables, USB, and ethernet.
- Program and trouble shoot data loggers - CR1000X, Sutron, MeteoPV
- Install and Replace MET Sensors on Wind Farms
- Run cabling and secure
- Lead by example and facilitate timely job completion
- Utilize hand tools to complete projects safely
- Instruct and follow all OSHA and Company Safety procedures
Benefits
- Starting pay of $22 to $30 per hour Depending on Experience Level and 10 to 20 hours overtime weekly while on the road
- $40 per diem while travelling on the road.

Qualifications
- Must live within 3 hours of Beatrice, NE or be willing to relocate to the area.
- Valid driver's license
- Must have minimum 1 year of Meteorological Tower experience
- Ability to climb MET Towers a plus (all certifications and training paid for by Company)
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to travel across the country for 3 weeks at a time
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
- Self Motivated and ability to problem solve in the field
- Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance
- Experience with dataloggers, SCADA, Ethernet and MET sensors a plus
- Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions
