Purpose of Functional Assignment:
Under supervision, supports the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) and related medical imaging applications across the System.
Examples of Typical Tasks:
1. Maintains and supports the day-to-day operation of Radiology Information Systems (RIS), Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), Clinical Information Systems (CIS), PowerScribe, and related clinical imaging applications.
2. Diagnoses and resolves user requests and system issues escalating problems to senior staff or vendors as needed.
3. Supports application and infrastructure upgrades, including patch installations and functional testing under
supervision.
4. Participates in the on-call support program for after-hours critical issues.
5. Assists in integrating radiology systems ensuring connectivity with the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
6. Supports new Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) modality connections and assists in monitoring Health Level Seven (HL7) interface.
7. Reviews and documents business requirements and processes, communicating technical specifications through the creation of conceptual data, process models, and flowcharts to technical teams.
8. Applies best practices and standards in radiology and imaging processes.
9. Assists in team projects and completes assigned daily tasks.
10. Monitors and reports on performance metrics and system trends.
11. Communicates the status of activities, risks, and issues to the Lead.
12. Identifies project risks related to compliance and information security.
13. Performs duties that may be primarily remote, and may need to report to the office with a 2-hour notice for operational needs, and/or training purposes.
14. Performs other related duties as assigned.
