Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team at our state-of-the-art dental clinic IMMEDIATELY. As a vital member of our oral healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality dental hygiene services to patients of all ages, including pediatric patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in dental terminology, be proficient in dental software such as Eaglesoft, and possess excellent communication skills. (New grads welcome though!)
Duties:
- Conduct thorough oral examinations and provide patients with personalized oral hygiene instructions and recommendations.
- Clean and polish teeth, as well as remove plaque and tartar to prevent tooth decay and gum disease.
- Apply fluoride treatments to prevent tooth decay and promote oral health.
- Perform X-rays and other diagnostic tests to identify potential oral health issues.
- Assist dentists with procedures such as fillings, extractions, and crowns.
- Develop and maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records.
- Collaborate with dentists, assistants, and other hygienists to ensure seamless care for patients.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in dental hygiene and technology.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of dentistry and the unique needs of patients of all ages.
- Proficiency in dental clinic software.
- Excellent knowledge of dental terminology and medical documentation practices.
- Experience with medical imaging and medical records.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with patients and colleagues.
