Job Summary
NexGen is seeking an experienced Technical Trainer with training management, curriculum development, and enterprise software instruction experience. This role supports customer‑facing and will design, deliver, and maintain high‑quality technical training programs, ensuring customers and end‑users gain the knowledge needed. The Technical Trainer will work closely with product teams, technical services, and customer stakeholders to deliver instructor‑led, virtual, and hybrid training, develop curriculum, and provide technical support. This role requires strong communication skills, deep subject‑matter expertise, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible learning content.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (as assigned)
- Create curriculum, training materials, user guides, SOPs, and structured documentation supporting enterprise software workflows.
- Deliver instructor‑led training (ILT), virtual instructor‑led training (vILT), hybrid learning, and remote/on‑site customer training.
- Provide technical support during and after training engagements, including troubleshooting, workflow guidance, and product configuration assistance.
- Translate complex technical concepts—XML, SGML, EDI transformation, metadata structures—into clear, accessible instructional content.
- Customize training programs to meet customer requirements, product configurations, and enterprise environments.
- Maintain training schedules, customer communication, and reporting requirements.
- Support product adoption by educating users on best practices, configuration standards, and operational workflows.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Technical Skills
- 10+ years of training management, curriculum development, and technical instruction experience.
- Experience with Managed File Transfer (MFT) software.
- Experience with XML/SGML, including Arbortext/PTC publishing tools.
- Experience with EDI translation and transformation software (STX for Windows/DOS, STMap).
- Experience providing onsite and remote technical support.
- Experience delivering customer‑facing training, distance learning, and hybrid instruction.
Desired Skills
- Experience in enterprise software training environments.
- Familiarity with metadata management, structured authoring, and multichannel publishing workflows.
- Experience developing TTPs, training metrics, dashboards, and structured documentation.
- Strong communication, customer engagement, and instructional design capabilities.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work collaboratively across interdisciplinary teams and customer environments.
- Strong ability to analyze workflows, troubleshoot issues, and guide users through complex technical processes.
- Must be able to pass background screening prior to employment.
- US Citizenship, legal permanent residence, or US work authorization with a minimum of 3 years of US presence is required due to federal contract requirement.

- Reliable internet (50 Mbps down / 25 Mbps up) and a secure remote work environment.

Compensation: $80,000-94,000 per year
