Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of infants
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive interactions among children
- Monitor and document each child's developmental progress using standardized assessments and observation techniques
- Engage with children through play-based activities that enhance literacy education, motor skills, and early intervention strategies
- Manage classroom routines including feeding, diapering, nap times, and physical activities in accordance with health and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns
- Collaborate with colleagues to design lesson plans that incorporate Montessori methods or other educational philosophies aligned with childhood development principles
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with infants or toddlers in daycare or preschool settings is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood education practices, including curriculum development and classroom management
- Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is a plus
- Familiarity with child welfare standards, behavior management techniques, and classroom safety protocols
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures related to early childhood assessment tools is advantageous
- Previous experience in private schools or daycare centers that emphasize preschool experience or Montessori methods enhances your candidacy
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
