As a Mold Shop Technician, you’ll play a key role in maintaining production-ready molds while supporting safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Maintain molds to meet customer, production, and quality requirements
- Perform mold repairs and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with Engineering on new molds, revisions, and improvements
- Support production teams to ensure high-quality output during runs
- Monitor and minimize mold repair costs alongside Mold Shop leadership
- Schedule maintenance activities to maximize productivity and reduce overtime
- Train associates on mold care and preventative practices
- Maintain a clean, organized, “world-class” work environment
- Follow all safety procedures, including OSHA standards and lockout/tagout practices
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding (required)
- Experience with mold maintenance, repair, or similar mechanical work
- Knowledge of manufacturing or rotomolding processes preferred
- Certified forklift operator (or ability to obtain certification)
- Ability to read measurements, use gauges, and perform precision work
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage priorities and deadlines
- Manufacturing/mold shop environment (55–95°F conditions)
- Regular lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, bending, and using hand tools
- Must be able to work safely with equipment such as welders, hoists, grinders, and power tools
