Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Certified Teacher to inspire and educate students across diverse age groups and learning needs. In this vital role, you will design engaging lesson plans, implement individualized education programs (IEPs), and foster a positive classroom environment that promotes growth, curiosity, and confidence. Duties
- Develop and deliver dynamic lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and tailored to individual student needs
- Assess student progress regularly through standardized testing, formative assessments, and observations to inform instruction
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, specialists, and support staff to create comprehensive IEPs that set achievable goals
- Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy techniques, including applied behavior analysis (ABA) and behavioral management strategies
- Utilize learning technology and instructional design tools to enhance engagement and facilitate diverse learning styles
- Manage classroom behavior effectively by applying classroom management best practices and fostering a respectful learning environment
- Provide mentorship and guidance to students, encouraging social-emotional development and independence
Skills
- Proven experience in special education, early childhood education, or preschool settings with classroom management expertise
- Strong knowledge of speech therapy, literacy education, math instruction, physical education, music therapy, recreational therapy, and library services as applicable
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities such as autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, visual impairments, and hearing impairments
- Proficiency in lesson planning, instructional design, tutoring techniques, and standardized testing procedures
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, colleagues, and specialists
- Ability to implement early intervention strategies and child welfare practices in diverse educational environments
- Experience working in private schools or Montessori-based settings is a plus
