About Us:

We are looking for a positive, outgoing, and knowledgeable driver guide to lead guests through one of the most iconic drives in the world. This is not just a driving job — you are the heart of the experience. As our Road to Hana Tour Driver Guide, you will navigate 620 curves and 59 single-lane bridges through Maui's stunning rainforest coastline while delivering expert live narration, creating genuine connections with guests, and ensuring a safe, memorable, and seamless journey from start to finish.
Tours run daily, 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM, with convenient hotel pickup and drop-off from major Maui resorts.
Wages:
- $33.59/hr + Tips (Hana Route Premium Rate)
- Other charters are subject to the company wage scale.
Essential Duties:
- Safely operates an air-conditioned mini coach along the Road to Hana corridor, navigating narrow, winding roads and single-lane bridges with confidence and professionalism
- Delivers engaging, expert live narration throughout the tour, sharing the history, culture, and natural highlights of the Road to Hana — including stops at Pa'ia Town, Ke'anae Peninsula, Pua'a Ka'a State Park, Wai'ānapanapa State Park, Hana Farms, Hana Bay, Ho'okipa Beach Park, and more
- Coordinates and facilitates included amenities — continental breakfast, farm-to-table lunch at Hana Farms, and Wai'ānapanapa State Park admission — ensuring guests have everything they need throughout the day
- Greets and assists passengers while boarding and/or exiting the vehicle; assists with ADA passenger needs
- Loads/unloads passenger baggage
- Conducts a daily pre-trip inspection of the assigned vehicle prior to departure. Ensures vehicle is in proper working order, proper fluid levels, and interior is clean and presentable with essential tools and sales materials
- Follows established schedules and routes set forth by Operations
- Reports any mechanical defect, safety concern, or vehicle damage to Maintenance and/or Dispatch
- Reports any bodily injury of self or passenger, accidents, or incidents immediately to Dispatch
- Conducts a post-trip inspection of the vehicle, completes DVIR booklet, and delivers Maintenance copy to the appropriate collection site. Completes all other required paperwork.
- Must always be in uniform as per the Employee Handbook
- Must always have all credentials on person: driver's license, medical certificate, and any other required credentials
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience, knowledge, and skills required:
- Must be at least 21 years of age and provide a current driver history record.
- Possession of a valid CDL B or CDL C license with passenger and air brake endorsements is required.
- One year of commercial driving experience is preferred but not required.
- Have the Aloha Spirit and a desire to share knowledge of our island home
- Friendly, outgoing, and engaging personality
- Possesses good customer service skills while servicing visitors.
- Ability to use good judgment and decision-making while handling multiple situations.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.
- Possesses a sense of humor.

Physical, Mental and Communication Demands:
- Customer service duties require relating to customers, employees and management in a friendly and professional manner at all times.
- Working conditions require sitting for extended periods of time, stand, climb stairs, walk long distances, bend, squat, push/pull as needed throughout the day.
- Physical demands may require lifting supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to clearly and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, employees, and the general public.
- Duties require a flexible work schedule to include working on nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
