Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced APRN Supervisor to lead and oversee advanced practice provider teams within a diverse healthcare setting. This vital role involves clinical care and supervising Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs), ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care, compliance with regulatory standards, and efficient clinical operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in documentation, acute and chronic care, capturing all health elements, demonstrate leadership capabilities, and have extensive experience working across multiple specialties including emergency medicine, critical care, community health and outpatient services. Must provide supervisory skills and great communitcation and teaching skills. Duties
- Supervise and mentor APRNs and PAs, providing guidance on clinical practice, documentation, and professional development , review of systems , documentation audits.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care plans.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, DEA regulations for medication prescribing, and state-specific licensure requirements.
- Oversee clinical workflows within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks to optimize documentation accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct regular audits of medical records to ensure adherence to quality standards and proper coding practices including CPT, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding.
- Participate in clinical initiatives, quality improvement projects, and utilization review processes to enhance patient outcomes.
- Manage communication with providers to immplement improvemnet initiatives,coordinate training sessions on new protocols or EMR updates, and facilitate team meetings to promote continuous learning.
Qualifications
- Valid Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license with current certification in your specialty area. Possess DEA
- Proven leadership experience supervising healthcare providers in fast-paced settings such as hospitals or clinics.
- Extensive clinical background in acute care environments including ICU, emergency medicine, or hospital medicine.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; experience with telehealth platforms is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology for medication management including injection administration and IV infusion procedures.
- Familiarity with complex medical coding including CPT, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding standards; experience with documentation for Workers' Compensation Law is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations involving critical & intensive care cases or trauma scenarios such as Level I/II Trauma Center experiences.
- Additional skills in areas such as Addiction, HIV, AIDS, diabetes, comorbidities,EKG, Spirometry,behavioral health are desirable but not mandatory.

Pay: $48.00 - $65.00 per hour
