As a Member Experience Assistant Manager (Assistant Branch Manager), you will help lead the daily operations of the branch while delivering exceptional service to our members and supporting the development of a high-performing team. Working closely with the Branch Manager, you'll ensure operational excellence, maintain compliance, coach team members, and foster a positive, member-focused environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced banking professional who is ready to grow their leadership career.

Support the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring exceptional member service and operational efficiency.

Assume the responsibilities of the Branch Manager during absences or when they are engaged in other Credit Union responsibilities.

Assist with supervising, coaching, training, and developing branch team members while providing ongoing performance feedback and support.

Help assign work, resolve routine employee concerns, and contribute to performance evaluations and salary recommendations.

Process member transactions as needed, including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and consumer and mortgage loan payments during peak periods or staffing shortages.

Maintain flexibility to support other branch locations and work weekend hours based on business needs.

Assist with monthly teller audits and perform periodic vault and cash drawer audits in accordance with established procedures.

Ensure the security and accuracy of cash, negotiable instruments, and cash handling activities while maintaining compliance with internal controls and segregation of duties.

Support daily balancing and proof activities, ensuring compliance with cash control policies.

Oversee currency ordering and maintain appropriate cash levels to support branch operations.

Promote Credit Union products and services while helping create a sales and service culture that meets member needs.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum of two years of experience in the financial services or banking industry.

Previous supervisory, lead, or team leadership experience preferred.

Demonstrated ability to coach, motivate, and develop employees while fostering a collaborative team environment.

Strong sales and relationship-building skills with the ability to identify member needs and recommend appropriate financial solutions.

Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional, member-focused approach.

Proven problem-solving abilities and sound judgment in handling operational and member service situations.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and financial services systems.

Ability to travel to other branch locations as needed and work a flexible schedule, including weekends.

In alignment with our commitment to pay transparency, we're pleased to share that the base range for this position is $62,315 - $70,000 per year, excluding fringe benefits or potential incentives. If you're hired, your final base pay will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and experience. We also take pay equity seriously and consider the internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
