Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and structured activities to ensure safety at all times
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote childhood development, including early learning exercises for preschool children
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to childhood development standards, behavior management techniques, and mandated reporting laws
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns that arise
- Assist with basic caregiving needs such as diapering, feeding infants, and providing comfort during transitional moments
- Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols including first aid and CPR procedures when necessary
- Support children with disabilities or special needs by adapting activities and providing inclusive care
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar caregiving roles
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience caring for infants, toddlers, and preschool age children in classroom or daycare settings
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies suitable for young children
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare
- Prior experience planning educational activities tailored to various age groups and developmental stages
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly preferred; ongoing training is a plus
