Job Description:
As a Host/Cashier at Sawyers Farmhouse, you play a crucial role in creating a positive and memorable experience for our guests. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Greeting Guests: Welcome guests as they arrive with a warm and friendly demeanor. Ensure they feel valued and appreciated from the moment they step through our doors.
2. Seating Guests: Manage the seating chart and efficiently seat guests, taking into consideration their preferences and balancing table assignments to provide a smooth flow of service.
3. Cash Handling: Accurately handle cash, credit card transactions, and provide guests with receipts. Maintain cash register integrity and follow cash handling procedures.
4. Answering Questions: Be knowledgeable about the menu, daily specials, and restaurant policies to answer guest questions and provide recommendations.
6. Cleaning and Organizing: Assist in keeping the hostess station, waiting area, and entrance clean and organized.
7. Team Collaboration: Work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure efficient communication and smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a host/hostess or cashier role is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- A neat and professional appearance.
