Step into a vital role providing school-based occupational therapy services to students participating in the Jon Peterson Scholarship Program. In this flexible contract/PRN opportunity, you’ll work close to Mansfield, OH, making a direct difference for two students by supporting their growth and success within the educational environment. With an estimated commitment of just 2 hours per month, this position is ideal for professionals seeking supplemental opportunities alongside their current caseload, or for those passionate about targeted, individualized support.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license valid in Ohio
- Experience in school-based settings preferred
- Competence with IEP-driven service delivery and documentation
- Clear communication skills for collaborating with educators and families
- Ability to work on-site; remote services may be considered in alignment with program requirements
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct OT services as outlined in IEPs, focusing on functional skills and academic participation
- Deliver approximately 60 minutes per month to a 10th-grade student and 60 minutes per month to a kindergarten student in direct therapy
- Track and document therapy sessions, maintaining thorough and timely progress notes
- Collaborate with school and program staff, adapting therapy approaches as needed to maximize student benefit
- Communicate progress and recommendations to caregivers, school team, and program administration
