Senior Structural Engineer

Position Summary and Primary Responsibilities:
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be an integral part of our Construction Documentation team, joining a diverse group of designers and engineers collaborating on many of the amazing projects we build. In this role, you will have the opportunity to both oversee the engineering work of other team members, as well as taking on your own projects and seeing them through to completion. Travel related to this full-time, non-exempt role will be less than 5%. This role will be based in our Walpole, NH office and is primarily an in-person role.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis on light wood frame and small mass timber structures, including gravity and lateral analysis
- Act as Engineer of Record for both your own projects as well as project work done by team members under your oversight.
- Design, model, and draft foundations; wall, floor, and roof framing; and timber frame structures following construction and government codes and standards, using analysis software, excel spreadsheets, and 3d and 2d CAD drawing tools
- Provide technical advice regarding design, construction, and structural alternatives to timber framers, carpenters, architects, construction managers, and sales associates
Preferred Qualifications
- BS in structural, mechanical, or civil engineering or similar
- Active PE license in at least one state
- BIM and/or CAD software experience
- Construction experience preferred

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range for this role is $70,000 to $80,000 a year
