Our client in the South Bend, IN area is seeking a Director of Finance.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including month-end and year-end close activities, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting

Oversee inventory accounting processes including inventory valuation, reconciliations, physical inventory procedures, cost of goods sold (COGS), and inventory-related financial reporting.

Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, audits, tax requirements, and other regulatory standards.

Partner with executive leadership to provide financial analysis, performance reporting, and strategic recommendations that support organizational growth.

Lead financial systems optimization efforts and identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies.
Key Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.

8+ years of progressive accounting and financial leadership experience.

Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

Experience within a product-based, manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, or inventory-driven environment with direct exposure to inventory accounting, physical inventory processes, costing, and COGS.

Experience leading accounting operations, managing ERP/accounting systems, and developing accounting teams.

Proven ability to communicate financial information to executive leadership and influence business decisions through data-driven analysis.
