Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service throughout their visit
- Operate the cash register, process retail sales transactions accurately, and handle cash drawer with integrity
- Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance customer experience and sales volume
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure product displays are attractive and well-maintained
- Maintain cleanliness of the store area, including fueling stations, convenience aisles, and checkout counters
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying supervisors of low inventory or replenishment needs
- Use POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently, ensuring quick and accurate transactions
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems and cash register operations
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math tasks
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling inquiries or customer concerns professionally
- Familiarity with retail sales transactions, cash handling procedures, and cash drawer management
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and assist customers confidently
- Previous experience preferred but not required
