Duties
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Support mobility and transfer needs using manual handling techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation, especially for clients with dementia or Alzheimer’s.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, laundry, and home organization tasks.
- Support clients with medical appointments or community outings using personal transportation assistance while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Experience
- Prior experience is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to observe patients closely and recognize changes in condition or behavior for timely intervention.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of client information.
