American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position at a Trauma Level III facility in Tucson, AZ, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and active Cerner proficiency.

Emergency Department setting within a 38-bed facility

Trauma Level III Certified facility, also designated as a Stroke Receiving and STEMI Receiving center
-
Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 4x12-hour shifts per week

Cerner EMR — experience required

13-week contract
-
Active AZ RN license or compact RN license currently in hand

Current BLS certification required; no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience required

Cerner EMR experience required

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification is recommended but not required

Valid driver's license required for consideration

US Social Security Number required

No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Responsible for shift accountability in delivering care to ED patients, applying the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies

Demonstrates critical thinking, clinical leadership, and scientific judgment in planning and delivering safe patient care

Delegates patient care priorities based on staff education and experience, and provides direction and supervision to assigned personnel

Black scrubs required

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position

RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
