Job Summary
Demolition company located in south Plainfield, NJ Is looking to hire a CDL A driver for Rolloff and Lowbed driving. The job will consist of moving containers to jobsites, swapping containers, and mobilizing equipment to and from other various jobs.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate CDL A tractor-trailers including roll-off trucks, flatbeds, on designated routes.
- Load and unload equipment
- Manage route driving responsibilities with precision to meet delivery schedules while maintaining safety protocols.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or any issues encountered on the road.
- Assist with maintenance checks and minor repairs to keep trucks in top condition for daily operations.
Requirements
- Valid CDL A license with proven experience operating tractor-trailers in various configurations such as roll-off trucks, flatbeds, dump trailers, tankers, or dump trucks.
- Demonstrated driving experience in commercial settings with a focus on waste management logistics.
- Proficiency in manual transmission vehicles needed; ability to operate specialized equipment like forklifts is a plus.
- Knowledge of load & unload procedures, route driving best practices, and safety regulations including DOT compliance.
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy loads and performing vehicle inspections.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and dispatch effectively.
