Txtur LLC, is a team of 100 craftspeople and support staff focused on making solid wood furniture in the USA. Founded in 1932 by a dedicated artist, designer and wood carver, the company continues to be passionately focused on true US manufacturing and the opportunities for work and within our community.
Txtur is currently seeking team members to fill open Mill Worker positions. If you have a desire to work with a team of skilled craftsmen and currently have the necessary skills or are willing to learn a new trade, we would welcome the opportunity to speak with you about our career opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Prior experience or ability to learn and cross train on use of various machines to include Band Saw, Planer, Rip Saw, Chop Saw, Glue Reel.
- Ability to read tape measure efficiently to verify dimensions.
- Ability to set-up machines and perform light maintenance/upkeep of machines.
- Load/unload assigned machine while following all safety standards.
- Inspect parts to ensure quality standards are achieved.
- Maintain clean and safe work area throughout shift.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/Equivalent Preferred.
- Prior manufacturing/warehouse/lumber operations experience preferred.
- Able and willing to work in varying seasonal climate condition.
- Team-oriented with a strong commitment to excellence and safety.
- Excellent attendance record.
- Physical Requirements: Walking, standing, climbing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs.
Previous experience and skills are preferred, however, on the job training is provided for those interested in learning a new trade. Competitive compensation and benefits are also provided to team members.
