Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required
- Current state SLP license or eligibility to obtain
- Prior experience in a school environment preferred
- Strong clinical skills in assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough speech and language assessments for students of diverse needs and backgrounds
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct therapy sessions, utilizing a variety of evidence-based techniques
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulations
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Offer consultation and training to school staff regarding language and communication strategies
- Participate in meetings, professional development, and ongoing program improvement initiatives
