Academic Coach / Teacher
EPIC Prep Academy is seeking a passionate, Christ-centered Academic Coach / Teacher to join our growing team. This position is responsible for creating a positive, engaging, and well-managed learning environment where students are encouraged to grow academically, personally, and in character.
The ideal candidate is a servant leader who enjoys mentoring students, building meaningful relationships, maintaining high expectations, and working collaboratively with families and fellow team members. At EPIC Prep Academy, our Academic Coaches / Teachers are more than educators—they are mentors, role models, and leaders who invest in the next generation.
Responsibilities
- Foster a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment.
- Encourage students to remain focused, organized, and accountable throughout the school day.
- Support students in achieving academic goals while promoting confidence, responsibility, and independence.
- Build positive relationships with students and families through professional and consistent communication.
- Reinforce EPIC Prep Academy's standards for character, respect, leadership, and personal responsibility.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and required student documentation.
- Collaborate with Center Managers, fellow Academic Coaches / Teachers, and the leadership team.
- Assist with campus activities, field trips, enrichment opportunities, and school events.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional classroom environment.
- Uphold all school policies and represent EPIC Prep Academy with professionalism, integrity, and a servant's heart.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and ongoing training opportunities.
Qualifications
- Passion for working with children and helping students succeed.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and manage a classroom with confidence, consistency, and professionalism.
- Positive attitude with a servant-leadership mindset.
- Dependable, adaptable, and able to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
- Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn new technology.
- A valid Florida Educator Certificate is preferred. Applicants holding an out-of-state teaching certificate or an accredited bachelor's or higher degree in education or a related field are encouraged to apply and will be evaluated based on their qualifications, experience, and alignment with EPIC Prep Academy's mission.
- Previous experience in teaching, coaching, tutoring, homeschooling, youth ministry, or working with children is preferred.
- Must successfully complete all required background screenings and be eligible to work in the United States.
