Duties
- Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, verifying insurance information, and updating electronic health records (EHR systems) (Dr Chrono).
- Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to provide accurate data for diagnosis and treatment.
- Prepare patients for examinations or procedures, including explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout their visit.
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of medical equipment, exam rooms, and treatment areas to uphold safety standards.
- Document patient interactions accurately in EHR systems
- Provide excellent patient service by answering questions, scheduling follow-up appointments, and coordinating referrals when necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in outpatient or hospital settings; experience in dermatology, urgent care, or emergency medicine is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology,and medication administration protocols (a plus)
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required; additional certifications such as X-ray tech or OR experience are a plus.
- Familiarity with hospital environments including Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks including intake procedures, vital signs collection, and documentation accurately.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
