Duties
- Prepare and assemble menu items efficiently while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions and customer orders accurately
- Handle cash register operations, including processing cash, credit card payments, and giving correct change
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, upselling menu items, and addressing customer inquiries promptly
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including food prep areas, dining surfaces, and kitchen equipment
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to ensure timely food preparation
- Manage food handling responsibilities with attention to hygiene standards and proper sanitation practices
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying management of stock needs
- Support food safety protocols by following proper sanitation procedures and handling food responsibly
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, quick service restaurants, or café environments
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales transactions and order management
- Strong cash handling skills with experience processing cash transactions accurately
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently
- Effective time management to handle fast-paced service periods efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain a clean workspace at all times
- Basic math skills for cash register operations and order calculations
- Previous experience in retail sales transactions within a food or retail environment is preferred
