Primary Job Functions
The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with regulations, and supervising the accounting team.
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including:
- General ledger
- Accounts payable and receivable
- Bank reconciliations
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes
- Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Coordinate and support external audits and tax filings
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior leadership
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Supervise, train, and develop accounting staff
- Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience (with at least 2 years in a supervisory role preferred)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar ERP systems)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Supports team operations by managing workload fluctuations and fulfilling overflow tasks as needed to ensure seamless workflow.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and leadership abilities
- Preferred: Prior experience in HVAC & Plumbing
- Must pass drug and background screens
