Job Summary
The Student Ministry at Grace City is one of the fastest-growing ministries in our church. We seek a student ministry leader for our church in Tarpon Springs, Florida. This is an excellent opportunity for a leader to have a direct impact by building a strong ministry program. We are seeking a strong, dynamic leader who will cast the vision for programming and drive growth through this important ministry.
The Student Ministry Pastor provides overall leadership to the Student Ministry of Grace City Church. This role’s main responsibilities are providing vision, volunteer staffing, and ensuring all volunteers understand and are equipped for their service and are aware of the crucial spiritual impact they have in a student’s life. The Student Ministry Pastor must have a passion for excellence and love for both students and parents.
The Student Ministry Pastor will work directly with the Lead Pastor to lead, equip, and build up the congregation of Grace City to fulfill its mission of “Grow in grace, love like Jesus, and go share Him with the world.” Student Ministry programming has strong budget support growth inititiatives.
Position Responsibilities
The Student Ministry Pastor is responsible for discipling middle and high school students in grades 6 - 12. This lead will focus on growing our student ministry through community outreach and creative, interactive programming. This is accomplished by the following:
- Provide the primary vision for the Student Ministry.
- Demonstrate a deep personal love for students and their parents.
- Have a growing spiritual relationship with Christ.
- Properly communicate with parents about upcoming events or important information related to their student.
- Plan outreach events for students.
- Partner with area schools and support local FCA chapters.
- Follow up with new guests and help them get better acquainted with Grace City.
- Enlist and equip volunteers to serve in the Student Ministry.
- Provide Christ-centered and age-appropriate curriculum approved by the Lead Pastor.
- Ensure each volunteer has been properly screened for their role.
- Partner and coordinate with other Family Ministry Coordinators to plan family events.
- Attend scheduled staff meetings, retreats, and leadership events.
- Provide important safety measures to protect students working directly with Grace City’s Security Team.
Requirements
- A strong Christian who is passionate about leading students into a growing realtionship with Jesus.
- Strong creative planning and leadership skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey messages of faith.
- A deep understanding of scripture and the application of theological principles to daily life.
- Ability to connect with diverse groups within the congregation and community.
- A commitment to serving others with compassion and integrity.
- Relevant theological education or training is strongly preferred but not required.

Pay: $28,000.00 - $38,000.00 per year
