Kearsley Community Schools is seeking a highly qualified 1st Grade Elementary Educator to join our dedicated team of educators. This position is available for the 2026-2027 academic year, with an anticipated start date the week of August 10.
The Kearsley Board of Education will offer the successful candidate an annual salary in accordance with the KEA Master Agreement, commensurate with skills and experience. A comprehensive and competitive MESSA fringe benefit package is also included.

The Opportunity
Qualified candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and possess a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with at least one of the following endorsements:
- K-5 All Subjects; K-8 All Subjects Self-Contained Classrooms (ZG)
- K-8 All Subjects (ZC)
- Early Childhood Education endorsement (ZA), (ZS), or (ZN)

The ideal candidate will use creative instructional strategies along with best practices for classroom
teaching which promotes interactive learning and student engagement through technology, literature, and writing. The candidate must be adept with technology and ready to consider emergent techniques to enhance student achievement. Candidates will also:
- Aide in research, development, implementation, and evaluation of the elementary curriculum;
- Develop and implement creative and engaging lesson plans;
- Incorporate practical application of content knowledge in lesson plans;
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of each learner;
- Develop and implement progressive classroom-based interventions;
- Utilize progress monitoring;
- Monitor and evaluate student development and growth through a variety of assessments;
Maintain accurate student classroom records.
