Kitchen Manager – Overview
We are looking for a strong, dependable Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role is responsible for maintaining kitchen operations, food quality, staff accountability, cleanliness, and efficiency during service. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can stay calm under pressure, coach and motivate staff, and help build a positive, high-performing kitchen culture.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and service execution
- Lead, train, and motivate kitchen staff
- Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards are met
- Maintain proper food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
- Manage kitchen prep, line setup, and inventory organization
- Assist with ordering, inventory counts, and controlling food waste
- Monitor ticket times and maintain efficient kitchen flow during busy shifts
- Hold staff accountable for attendance, performance, and professionalism
- Work closely with front-of-house managers to ensure smooth communication and service
- Help hire and onboard new kitchen employees
- Create and maintain prep lists, cleaning schedules, and kitchen procedures
- Step into line positions when needed to support the team
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous kitchen leadership or management experience required
- Strong understanding of restaurant kitchen operations
- Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Experience with food safety and sanitation standards
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, organized, and able to multitask effectively
- Experience with scheduling, inventory, and food cost control preferred
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Pay: From $22.50 per hour
