In this vital role, you will support the front-of-house team by ensuring tables are promptly cleared, reset efficiently, and maintained with the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation. Responsibilities
- Clear and reset tables swiftly after guests leave, ensuring proper table setting and sanitation standards are met.
- Assist servers by bussing tables, refilling water glasses, and delivering utensils or condiments as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness in all dining areas, including sweeping floors, wiping down surfaces, and managing trash disposal.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of chairs, trays, or supplies following safe lifting practices.
- Support food service operations by transporting dishes from kitchen to dining area with care and efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate table turnover and ensure seamless service flow.
- Uphold food safety and sanitation regulations consistently to maintain a hygienic environment for guests and staff.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; eagerness to learn is valued.
- Strong cleaning skills with an understanding of sanitation standards in the food industry.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and proper body mechanics.
- Excellent internal communication skills to coordinate with servers, kitchen staff, and management.
- Demonstrated customer service orientation with a positive attitude and energetic work ethic.
- Knowledge of table setting techniques, food safety practices, and hospitality standards is a plus.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout shifts in a fast-paced environment.
