Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks with precision and flair.
- Serve food items and beverages efficiently while ensuring quality standards are met.
- Process retail sales transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, equipment, and seating areas.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders, and addressing inquiries promptly.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities by processing cash transactions and balancing registers at shift end.
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for all customers and staff.
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or food service background is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential!
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction processing.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as cleaning and food preparation.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper beverage preparation techniques.
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently.
- Experience in beverage service, serving, or café environments is highly desirable.
