We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management and kitchen management, with a passion for food production and a commitment to delivering high-quality culinary experiences. This role requires excellent leadership skills, the ability to manage inventory effectively, and a knack for creating a positive work environment for kitchen staff.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff activities, ensuring efficient food production and service.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety in compliance with health regulations.
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and minimizing waste.
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and customer service standards.
- Conduct interviews for new kitchen staff and participate in the hiring process.
- Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages creativity and innovation in food preparation.
- Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth workflow during peak hours.
Requirements
- Proven experience in kitchen management or a similar role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of food production techniques, including cooking methods and presentation styles, specifically within the realm of Pan Asian cuisine.
- Familiarity with inventory control systems and procedures to manage supplies effectively.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with staff, vendors, and customers.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
