Job Summary: Speech Language Pathologist (Acute Care)
- Provide speech therapy services in an acute care hospital setting (Department: 717C Speech Therapy)
- Support acute care patients throughout the hospital based on physician orders
- Treat a wide variety of medical and surgical diagnoses, including:
- ICU patients
- Stroke/neurological conditions
- Dysphagia
- Respiratory compromise
- Cognitive impairments
- Schedule: 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m., with varied days
- Minimum 2 weekends per 4 weeks required (preferred 4 weekends per 4 weeks)
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
- Minimum 15-18 months of recent specialty experience required
- BLS certification required
- Active Georgia SLP license and CCC-SLP required
- Prior acute care experience highly desirable
- MBS/FEES proficiency a plus but not required
