Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Basic familiarity with low-pressure steam systems, boiler operation, and steam distribution components.
- Some experience with chemical process equipment such as reactors, burners, centrifuges, steam, or positive displacement pumps, gears, and gearboxes for agitators, or similar.
- Basic ability to repair and maintain process and utility piping systems.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting skills; ability to follow wiring diagrams and perform safe repairs.
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), hazard communication, and PPE requirements.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in a manufacturing setting.
- Comfortable working on older equipment using practical, hands-on problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable using a computer for spreadsheet-based records and email; able to use a smartphone for photo documentation and text communication with supervisors and team members.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull at least 50 lbs regularly throughout the workday.
- Ability to work effectively and respectfully with a variety of colleagues, contractors, and supervisors.
- High school diploma or GED required; vocational/technical training or equivalent work experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- State low-pressure boiler operator certification or license.
- OSHA 10 certification.
- Basic welding or pipefitting skills (MIG, stick, or soldering).
- Prior experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
- Mechanically knowledgeable.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- This position requires regular physical exertion in an industrial plant environment. Specific demands include:
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and climbing.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted on a regular basis.
- Exposure to heat, steam, noise, chemicals, and varying indoor/outdoor conditions.
- Work in confined spaces, at heights, and in areas requiring appropriate PPE.
- Availability for on-call response and occasional off-shift or weekend emergency coverage.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
