We are recruiting for a Credit & Collections Specialist at our Bloomington corporate headquarters. You will be part of a small collaborative team working under the Accounting department. This is a commerical business-to-business role.
Must be able to work on-site in Bloomington: Monday - Friday: 8:00am to 5:00pm
CREDIT & COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST POSITION PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for increasing sales and profits by establishing credit guidelines and collecting receivables while preserving our relationship with our customers.
CREDIT & COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Review credit worthiness of prospective accounts, set up as required.
- Continually review existing accounts to ensure proper terms and limits.
- Follow up on problem accounts and monitor payments.
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Set up and maintain schedule of collection calls.
- Call on past due invoices while ensuring customer retention.
- Work with customer service to release orders or communicate issues in a timely manner.
- Communicate difficult collection issues to department manager.
- Adhere to all company standards and policies.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Conduct himself/herself in a professional manner in accordance with company guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
CREDIT & COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

CREDIT & COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
