Duties
- Monitor parking lots through CCTV surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity or safety hazards.
- Control access to parking facilities using access control systems, verifying credentials and authorizations.
- Conduct regular patrols of the parking area to ensure physical security, check for hazards, and enforce parking regulations.
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies by following established emergency response procedures, including first aid, CPR, AED operation, or fire safety protocols.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities for record-keeping and follow-up.
- Assist visitors with directions or inquiries while maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor.
- Perform background checks on new contractors or vendors as required to ensure compliance with security policies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields preferred.
- Knowledge of surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems and access control technologies.
- Certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, conflict de-escalation, and fire safety are highly desirable.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for incident management or equipment setup.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to write clear incident reports and manage conflict effectively.
- Familiarity with emergency response procedures and compliance with security regulations.
- Physical fitness to patrol large areas on foot or by vehicle as required; capable of performing physical security duties including heavy lifting when needed.
