Job OverviewWe are seeking compassionate and dedicated caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need. As a caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for your clients, whether they are seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring hospice care. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring comfort, safety, and well-being.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients to promote mental well-being.
- Perform patient observation to monitor changes in health status and report any concerns to healthcare professionals.
- Support clients with mobility challenges, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Provide medications reminders as directed and assist with basic healthcare needs.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client privacy and confidentiality.
- Engage clients in memory care activities to stimulate cognitive function.
- Collaborate with families and healthcare teams to develop personalized care plans.
Skills
- Experience in senior care or home care settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of hospice care practices is beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals who have developmental disabilities.
- Strong observational skills for monitoring patient conditions and behaviors.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and assisting clients with mobility needs.
- Familiarity with memory care techniques to support cognitive health.
- Compassionate demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills for building rapport with clients.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred. Candidates who are fluent in either English or Spanish or creole are also encouraged to apply.
