Duties and Responsibilities:
Inventory/Shipping & Receiving Specialist reporting directly to the Director of Operations. The purpose of this position is to serve as a “force multiplier” to enable Project Managers and Engineers to focus on technical tasks.
Duties include:
- Developing packing lists and shipping documentation
- Organizing, receiving, and preparing warehoused equipment for shipment
- Developing transportation requests for equipment that is ready to ship
- Picking up parts from and delivering parts to contracted fabricators in the local area
- Expediting ordered equipment as needed
- Performs technical acceptance of equipment deliveries (within capabilities)
- Supports Operations with ordering equipment as required
- Manage maintenance and administration of 2 company vehicles
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge / Experience / Skills / Abilities:
- Basic computer skills including MS Excel and MS Outlook for Email
- Driver’s license with safe driving record
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision
- Ability to use lifting equipment and basic tools in order to crate control panels
- Safety focused with experience working in an industrial plant environment
- Problem solver who figures out a way to get things done
- Strong people skills and the ability to build long term relationships with internal team members
- Previous exposure to industrial instruments and controls is a plus
- Ability to read engineering drawings to include General Arrangements, P&IDs, Control Wiring Diagrams, and Field Wiring Diagrams is a plus
Travel Requirements:
- Local travel during standard working hours between McKees Rocks, PA and Whitehall, PA
