Responsible for assisting other members of the line crew or electrician crew engaged in the installation removal and maintenance of overhead and underground electrical facilities traffic control secondary electrical work or other duties as assigned. This is an entry level position and is considered preparation for Lineman Apprentice 1st Year.
STARTING HOURLY PAY: $16.36 p/h
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License issued by the employee’s state of residence. Must meet City’s insurability requirements.
- Must have a Class A CDL or can obtain a CDL within the first 6 months after hire date.
- Must be able to complete the OSHA 10 Certification within the first 3 months after hire date.
Must be willing to progress into the Lineman Apprenticeship Program when a position becomes available.
