Founded in 1863 by Queen Emma and King Kamehameha IV, ‘Iolani School is an all gender, Episcopal day and boarding school in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, enrolling approximately 2,300 students on its K-12, 25-acre urban campus.

Job Summary
:
Mission-aligned students are at the heart of ‘Iolani School’s success, and the Admission Office is where each student’s journey begins. ‘Iolani School seeks a dynamic and collaborative Associate Director of Admission to join the Day Admission Program. This role offers the opportunity to contribute within a high-performing, mission-driven team at one of Hawai‘i’s leading independent schools. Reporting to the Dean of Admission and Financial Aid, the Associate Director will play a key role in advancing both admission and financial aid initiatives. The position is integral to shaping the experience of prospective students and families, guiding them through the admission process with care, fairness, and a commitment to excellence.
Essential Responsibilities
:
Represent ‘Iolani School at the highest standards internally and externally as a member of the Admission Team.

Demonstrate the school’s values of unselfish cooperation, mutual respect, honesty, and humility in every interaction.

- Lead admission activities for applicants from inquiry to enrollment, including testing, interviews, tours, and events to attract, assess, and enroll mission-appropriate students for ‘Iolani.

Establish and maintain relationships with the ‘Iolani community, including faculty, staff, students, parents, and sending schools.

Conduct information nights for alumni, ‘Iolani families, and the public.

Assist in creating admission materials, including print, online, and social media, in collaboration with the Communications Department.

Conduct post-decision conferences.

Lead and serve on admission decision committees.

Participate in the financial aid process.

Participate in summer support courses for new students.
Perform other duties as assigned relative to supporting the department and school’s goals.

- Bachelor’s degree required.

Experience in K-12 admission or college admission is required.

Candidates should be polished, confident presenters to audiences, large and small.

Command of a variety of admission and school-based computer programs and applications, including Ravenna, Clarity, and Veracross.

Knowledge of various AI platforms and the use of them in admission and financial aid.
Possess creativity, flexibility, and a growth mindset.
