Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Active Texas RN license
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- BLS (AHA Only)
- ACLS
- PALS
- ENPC
- TNCC
- Triage experience highly preferred
- Emergency Department experience
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a licensed professional who uses the nursing professional practice model to coordinate patient care delivery by the health care team. Using the nursing process, the RN assesses the patient, identifies nursing diagnoses based on responses to health problems, develops and implements an individualized plan of care, and evaluates the patient's response.
The RN promotes safe passage for patients by using knowledge of patient needs and the healthcare environment to assist patients in transitioning through the healthcare encounter without preventable complications or delays.
Essential Functions
Clinical Judgment: Conduct accurate clinical assessments according to practice standards. Identify and prioritize patient and family needs. Develop, implement, and evaluate the nursing plan of care and modify the plan to meet clinical outcomes.
Clinical Inquiry: Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and participate in quality and performance improvement initiatives.
Caring Practices: Create a compassionate, supportive, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients, families, and staff. Develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
Response to Diversity: Recognize, appreciate, and incorporate each patient's and family's unique differences into an individualized plan of care.
Advocacy and Moral Agency: Preserve and protect the confidentiality, autonomy, dignity, and rights of patients and families while representing their concerns.
Facilitation of Learning: Facilitate learning for patients, families, nursing staff, other healthcare team members, and the community. Integrate appropriate education throughout the continuum of care.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues and the healthcare team to develop and implement an integrated plan of care. Delegate tasks appropriately and ensure timely follow-up.
Systems Thinking: Use available resources and problem-solving strategies to promote safe, effective, and efficient patient care.
Professionalism: Participate in shared governance and decision-making processes while pursuing ongoing professional growth through continuing education, networking, certification, professional organizations, and other development opportunities.

- Strong knowledge of nursing and patient care standards

Pay: From $2,440.00 per week
