Rivers of Steel Venue Coordinator | Part-time, Seasonal
Position Description
Venue Coordinator will assist in coordinating the events at Rivers of Steel venues for the 2026 season. They will showcase our incredible venues to interested parties, work with existing bookings to finalize plans, process transactions and be the onsite coordinator for select events.
The ideal Venue Coordinator has experience with events in a variety of venues. They are enthusiastic about the planning process and have the ability to match the creative energy of a diverse clientele. They are a problem solver with a mind for logistics.
Hours: up to 30 hrs./week, Wednesday- Sunday, including nights and weekends.
Reports to: Senior Director of Events & Tourism
Status: Part-time, Non-exempt – Seasonal (approx end date November 2026)
Salary: $20.00/hr
Responsibilities:
- Answer inquiries regarding Rivers of Steel venue rentals within 48 hours of receipt
- Provide excellent customer service to rental patrons including:
- Fielding venue inquiries with enthusiasm
- Providing compelling venue tours and with ideas for creative use of the spaces
- Coordinating with vendors for internal services including bathroom trailer(s), furniture, and tent rentals
- Working collaboratively with the events team for the rental party to recommend and guide catering, floral, A/V and other event needs
- Provide clear and timely communication around contracts, including payment schedules and timelines
- Act as ON SITE COORDINATOR on the day of the events, as assigned
Requirements
- This position will work a Wednesday-Sunday schedule, making themselves available nights and weekends for events and tours of the venues to prospective patrons
- The person in this position must have reliable transportation to get them to/from the Rivers of Steel venues located in Homestead, Munhall and Rankin
- This is a hybrid position with options to work from home on administrative days or days without tours
Qualifications
- Must have 1-3 years of events experience
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must have a reliable device for answering calls, emails, and text messages as needed.
- Must have strong communication skills and genuine enthusiasm for celebrating life’s milestones, like weddings, showers, anniversaries, family reunions, etc
- Experience with Microsoft suite is preferred
- Must undertake some physical activity and work including some lifting
