Overview
Environmental Pneumatics Inc., is based in Oaklnad, TN and specializes in designing, manufacturing, and installling Industrial Dust Control and Scrap systems for facilities in the corrugated, Paper, and Grain Industries across the country.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CAD Designer/Drafter to join our dynamic design team. These systems include but not limited to designs in mechanical equipment, piping systems, structural, and custom sheet metal/ plate fabrication.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate project drawings and designs with Salesman and Engineering Manger.
- Drafting and designing field installation drawings with plan view layouts, elevations, connection details and other components.
- Drafting and designing fabrication drawings for shop fabrication of mechanical equipment, piping system components, structural steel support, and custom sheet metal/ plate fabrication.
- Create precise 3D models and visualizations utilizing tools like SketchUp, Rhino 3D (Rhinoceros 3D), Grasshopper 3D, and 3ds Max to support design presentations and project planning.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to produce accurate system designs and interior layouts aligned with client requirements.
- Ensure all drawings adhere to relevant building codes, standards, and project specifications through thorough building code analysis.
- Generate construction detail documentation that clearly communicates design intent for fabrication and installation.
- Assist in system design tasks related to mechanical systems, interior design concepts, or graphic representations as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience in CAD drafting and design within architecture, engineering, or construction industries.
- Strong proficiency with CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, SolidWorks, SketchUp, Rhino 3D (Rhinoceros 3D), Grasshopper 3D, Bluebeam for PDF markup and collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to produce detailed construction documentation and schematics that meet project deadlines.
- Familiarity with building code compliance standards and performing building code analysis for various project types.
- Experience with 3D CAD modeling and BIM workflows that enhance project accuracy and coordination.
- Knowledge of construction processes and experience working on real-world projects involving system design or interior layouts is highly desirable.
- Strong graphic design skills for creating clear visual representations of complex systems or concepts.
