Responsibilities:
- Respond to client inquiries regarding existing policies and coverage; make requested changes
- Maintain electronic records of client interactions and transactions including inquiries, changes, claims, comments, and actions taken
- Answer incoming calls and schedule office appointments
- Produce and submit evidence of insurance as requested
- Monitor status and completion of policy changes for accuracy and quality assurance
- Obtain client information requested by underwriting and ensure policy compliance
- Process claims, maintain contact with clients during claim process, and ascertain satisfaction
- Handle client payments and ensure accurate billing
- Process quote information for prospective new clients and ensure eligibility guidelines are met
- Assist with administrative tasks including electronic scanning and filing, deposits, packet assembly, mailings, and other similar tasks
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Skills: Applicant should be professional, have good time management skills, the ability to multi-task and prioritize work, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, must be detail-oriented, show initiative, and have the ability to think critically and work independently. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. Must have accurate and efficient typing skills.
Requirements: Applicants must be currently licensed in Property and Casualty insurance and include date and state licensed in on resume. Minimum of a high school diploma with 2-5 years of experience working in an office setting in insurance (preferred), customer service, or an equivalent field. Candidates must be willing to submit to a background check.
Work Environment: This job is a full-time position and operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, etc. Requires operation of a computer and viewing a monitor screen for extended periods of time (stationary position). Must be able to frequently communicate and exchange accurate information by phone and in-person with clients.
Compensation: Starting at $25 per hour (commensurate with experience; non-commission based) with potential to earn bonuses
Benefits: 3 weeks paid leave (plus two bonus days), 14 paid holidays, paid bereavement leave, licensing CE credit reimbursement
Regular Hours: Full-time,8:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday (37.5 hour work week)
