Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care using the full nursing process in a high-acuity Emergency Department setting. You’ll triage, assess, treat, and educate patients while coordinating seamlessly with physicians, EMS, and hospital departments to ensure timely, safe care.
Key Responsibilities

Triage and rapidly assess patients; identify and respond to life-threatening conditions.

Deliver age-appropriate emergency care (cardiac, trauma, medical/surgical, pediatric).

Administer medications and therapies per protocols; monitor and document patient responses.

Coordinate patient care with ED physicians, hospitalists, specialists, and ancillary departments.

Support and precept EMT, paramedic, and nursing students within approved guidelines.

Uphold infection prevention standards and ED safety practices.

Participate in quality improvement, required in-services, and ED staff meetings.

Communicate with patients and families in a kind, clear, and culturally sensitive manner.

Job Qualifications
Required
-
Current Arkansas Registered Nurse (RN) license (or compact RN eligible).

BLS and ACLS (AHA) active at hire.

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) within 3 months of hire.

Pediatric credential: PALS or ENPC within 6 months of hire.

TNCC within 12 months of hire.

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with providers, staff, patients, and families; proficient English reading/writing/speaking.
Preferred
-
1+ year Emergency or Critical Care RN experience; 2–5 years total RN experience.

CEN certification.

Strong assessment/triage skills and experience across cardiac, trauma, medical/surgical, and pediatric emergencies.
Compensation & Schedule

Status: Full-time; part-time opportunities may be available.

Schedule: Variable/rotating; may include 12-hour shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays based on department needs.
