POSITION: Cashier/Customer Service Clerk
REPORTS TO: Store Manager
LOCATION: All Locations
PURPOSE STATEMENT:
- Greets each customer and provides courteous service.
- Strives daily to exceed my customers' expectations by providing a positive first impression, determining actual needs, delivering real solutions, adding value where possible, and leaving the customer with a lasting positive impression, by providing superior customer service.
- 3. Provides services to customers by always determining their needs, and continually increasing my own knowledge.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- 1. Greets each customer in an ongoing effort to elevate overall customer satisfaction level and deliver superior customer service.
- Quickly and efficiently process transactions by giving the customer my undivided attention, processing purchases through the register system following company guidelines, properly completing all transactions, adhering to all laws and regulations restricting certain transactions. Keep work area clean and supplies.
- Sack or assist with sacking the customer's order, ensuring food safety by bagging different types of raw meat and toxic items separately, and ensuring products reach the customer's home in excellent condition by practicing correct product placement.
- Provide services to customers by identifying the customer's need and identifying appropriate solutions, such as carry out, and reminding them of other store services or upcoming planned events.
- Clearly define issues upfront and then use critical thinking skills and logic to effectively obtain answers to questions through a conscious and organized manner.
- Consistently produce and emphasize the need to produce high quality products and services while being aware of the issues and following procedures that will affect personal safety and the safety of others.
- Successfully initiate, develop, and foster relationships with others. Take a personal interest in the interests and ideas of others and treat others fairly, respectfully, and sincerely. Empathize with the emotions of others and consider things from other people's prospective.
- Adjust readily to different conditions. Demonstrate flexibility in the workplace and remain comfortable with change and transition.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Basic mathematical ability (add, subtract, multiply, divide) and ability to count.
- Must be 18 years or older to operate the pallet jack, fork lift and baler.
