Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintenance & Repairs
- Assist the Building Manager with the daily maintenance and upkeep of all Wilderness Ridge facilities, buildings, equipment, and property.
- Complete maintenance work orders and projects as directed by the Building Manager.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment, fixtures, and other property assets.
- Perform basic repairs and maintenance to plumbing fixtures, doors, locks, furniture, woodwork, walls, ceilings, and other building components.
- Replace light bulbs, filters, hardware, fixtures, and other routine maintenance items as needed.
- Assist with minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical maintenance within the scope of the position and as directed by the Building Manager.
- Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of air conditioning units, refrigerators, ice makers, pool equipment, pumps, and other facility equipment.
- Assist with basic carpentry, drywall, painting, patching, grouting, flooring, and other general building repairs.
- Assist with door, window, lock, and hardware repairs and replacement.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, carts, and other maintenance equipment.
- Identify and report equipment problems, damage, safety hazards, and additional maintenance needs to the Building Manager.
- Assist with troubleshooting facility and equipment issues and help determine when specialized service or outside contractors may be needed.
Facility Cleaning & Upkeep
- Clean and maintain assigned clubhouse and facility areas to ensure they are clean, safe, and presentable.
- Clean and restock restrooms, locker rooms, changing rooms, and other facility areas.
- Clean and maintain pool-area facilities, including restrooms and changing areas.
- Dust, wipe down, and clean furniture, fixtures, counters, doors, glass, equipment, and other surfaces.
- Clean walls, doors, baseboards, floors, and other areas as needed.
- Remove trash and maintain designated waste and recycling areas.
- Assist with deep-cleaning projects and seasonal cleaning as scheduled.
- Maintain maintenance rooms, storage areas, tools, and equipment in a clean, organized, and secure manner.
- Monitor common areas and proactively address cleanliness, appearance, or maintenance concerns.
- Assist with cleaning and preparing facilities before and after special events.
Property & Building Support
- Assist with exterior property upkeep, including entrances, walkways, patios, steps, and other common areas.
- Assist with seasonal maintenance, including snow and ice removal and preparation of facilities for changing weather conditions.
- Assist with moving furniture, equipment, supplies, and other items as needed.
- Assist with facility setup and breakdown for special events and club activities.
- Assist with maintenance supply inventory and notify the Building Manager when supplies need to be reordered.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as directed, including completion of work orders and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Work cooperatively with other departments to respond to facility needs and provide timely service to Members, guests, and employees.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Building Manager.

Education/Qualifications/Certifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- One year of maintenance, facilities, construction, custodial, or related experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of general building maintenance and repair.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic maintenance issues.
- General knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building systems preferred.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and complete assigned work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify maintenance, cleanliness, and safety concerns.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with the Building Manager, maintenance team, and other club departments.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
- Positive attitude, dependable work ethic, professional manner, and appearance.
- Must be flexible with work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Must have the ability to:
- Read and write in English.
- Communicate clearly with staff, Members, and guests.
- Follow verbal and written instructions.
- Visually inspect work areas and identify maintenance, cleanliness, or safety concerns.
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently lift, carry, push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, reach, and perform repetitive motions.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Safely climb and work from ladders when required.
- Use hand tools, power tools, carts, ladders, and other maintenance equipment safely.
- Work both indoors and outdoors for extended periods.
Working Conditions
- Work hours may include mornings, days, evenings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Work is performed both indoors and outdoors.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind.
- May be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, equipment, and moderate to loud noise.
- May work in areas requiring the use of ladders or elevated work surfaces.
- May be exposed to cleaning chemicals, maintenance products, fumes, dust, and other substances associated with building maintenance and cleaning.
- May encounter uneven terrain and typical golf course/property conditions.
- Must follow all safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment when required.
