Job Summary
We are seeking a licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA), Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), Occupational Therapist (OT), or Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team in a per diem role. You will evaluate patients for custom wheelchair needs and help guide the documentation and approval process.
This role pays $250 per evaluation completed. Hours and patient volume will vary week to week, and scheduling is very flexible.
ATP Certification Pathway
To perform evaluations, you must be ATP-certified. We will provide you with training materials to prepare for the RESNA ATP exam. Most candidates are able to study and pass the exam within 30 days. Once certified, you’ll begin seeing patients and earning $250 per completed evaluation.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Evaluate patients’ mobility needs and recommend appropriate custom equipment
- Educate and collaborate with treating clinicians, patients, and ordering practitioners
- Assist with documentation and justification required for insurance approvals
- Travel to patient locations as needed (travel throughout the state may be required)
Qualifications and Skills
- Must be a licensed OT, PT, COTA, or PTA to be eligible to sit for the RESNA ATP exam
- Minimum of 1,000 hours of patient care experience
- Strong communication and clinical documentation skills
Compensation
- $250 per completed patient evaluation
- Flexible schedule — you choose your availability
- Training materials provided to help you pass the ATP exam, as well as we pay for the ATP Resna Exam.
