Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility using surveillance tools such as CCTV systems to identify potential hazards or security breaches
- Monitor access control systems to verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
- Respond promptly to emergency situations by executing established procedures including first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety protocols
- Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or suspicious activities with clarity and accuracy
- Perform background checks on new personnel or vendors as part of compliance measures
- Manage conflict de-escalation techniques to peacefully resolve disputes or disruptive behavior
- Operate security equipment such as Tasers, firearms (where authorized), and other physical security tools following strict safety guidelines
- Assist with heavy lifting or manual handling tasks when necessary to support safety initiatives or logistical needs
- Conduct routine inspections of premises for hazards related to fire safety, physical security vulnerabilities, or compliance issues
- Support loss prevention efforts by identifying theft or vandalism activities and collaborating with law enforcement when required
Skills
- Proven experience in surveillance operations and physical security management
- Knowledge of law enforcement procedures and law enforcement collaboration protocols
- Certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety are highly desirable
- Familiarity with access control systems and CCTV monitoring platforms
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively
- Excellent written communication skills for incident report writing and documentation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and adhere to manual handling best practices
- Experience in performing background checks and screening procedures for personnel clearance
- Customer service orientation with a professional demeanor when interacting with staff and visitors
- Understanding of compliance regulations related to security operations and safety standards in various environments
